I am a self professed horror connoisseur, especially when it comes to trashy 80's slashers. I grew up on them. I literally have finger paintings from when I was a kid where my mom wrote on the back "Jackie said she painted her two best friends Beetlejuice and Freddy Krueger". I love the camp of it all, the taboo, the ingenuity of practical effects and the exploration of the body in such extreme settings. Its a genre that is already so far outside of the acceptable that it bec

Oh boy, guess what i just finished... well if you're here, read the title and guess anything other than the Darth Bane Trilogy then I know you're fucking with me. Alright, Darth Bane he's a big, bald-headed, beast! Born on the mining planet of Apatros as Dessel. Darth Bane was dealt a pretty shit hand from birth, other than being a certified tank, his life sucked. His mother died during childbirth and he was raised by his abusive father and forced to start working the cortosi

Let's get into some Star Wars extended universe legends novels. That was a mouthful, but I promise every word means something. I have been listening to the audiobooks chronologically (yes.... so many thousands of years of history....so many audible credits), but I am going to jump to The Old Republic: Revan as it will tie into my Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) playthrough. Let's get oriented.... Yeah... let's zoom in Not even sure if that actually helped, but I zoomed in

My favorite hero (or anti-hero depending on your perspective) of all time is Batman. He's moody, edgy, flawed, and has created some of the most iconic comic book villains of all time. When I was first getting into comics as a kid I would often read forgettable 3-comic short story stints, picking up what I could with spare change from the grocery store magazine rack when my mom was checking out. Even then I loved reading about a human with no powers (other than extreme wealth)

Who doesn't love shark week, Chili's margarita specials, summer fun, and so many shark movies to dig your sharp little teeth into? Of course I'm a little late but honestly by this point in my life no one expects me to be on time. One movie I had been procrastinating watching until my sister came over (who by the way is a staunch shark week/horror lover) was Beast Of War. Let me say it did not disappoint and stands as a testament to modern shark films, thank you director Kiah

I've been on a journey in a galaxy far far... well you get the gist. As a kid growing up in the 90's/00's my more vivid memories of Star Wars were of my dad making it a serious point to see Episode 1,2,and 3 in theaters, since him and my mom remembered the magic and awe of seeing the originals as kids, huddled with siblings in the back seats of minivans with what I can only imagine the smell of stale cigarettes, hot dogs, and popcorn wafting through the air. We didn't ever ha
